Phytonutrient Spectrum Foods
This handout breaks down the phytonutrients and health benefits of different colored plant foods, as well as providing a large list of examples of foods of each color of the rainbow.
I recommend circling the foods that you currently eat on a weekly basis. How close are you getting to that goal of 30 different plant foods per week? Are there some colors that you’re not consuming much of? Are you a creature of habit and rotating through the same 3 red foods week after week? What one new red food could you try out this week? etc. -

This is a fun handout you can use to track how many servings of different colored plant foods you’re eating daily. Use this a few times and you’ll get into the habit of doing a mental rainbow checklist as you go through your day. It’s a great way to make eating the rainbow easier and more fun for the whole family…and maybe make for some healthy competition!
